Funny thing: Until I got my Mini the only car I had ever seen the CEL on was my 2006 Corolla. The only reasons I have seen the Minis CEL is because I have stalled it and it works backwards to the Japanese cars. The Toyota and Subarus would only turn it on when there was a code while the Mini turns it on when you start the car and then leaves it on until it verifies there are no codes.
